Description
A very scarce & sought after album by one of the greatest tenor sax players of all time, This was recorded "live" at the ronnie scott club london on "13th - 14th - 15th november 1961, the label states recording first published 1962 & the "record collector" lists this as 1965 !.
The record I have played throughout & can honestly say this plays with amazing sound & quality, on looking very carefully at the playing surface there are very few minor hairlines (not scratches) & there is a light shading here & there which seems to have been made by the polylined inner this was in & this does not have any cause for concern. to be very fair I will grade as vg+.
The sleeve is laminated to the front only & is very clean & tidy, the only flaw is there is some rubbing on the bottom but has not split (just colour loss only) the spine is perfectly readable & the 4 corners have light wear, The rear of the sleeve has some ageing but no splits there is a light stain to right hand side & a rub to the top left. I will grade as vg.
I am being very strict with my grading as this one is very scarce & hardly surfaces these days, I like to think that whoever wins this rarity will be very pleased *not only with my grading but also with the album*
