Vinyl LP 10" record:
NIGERIAN POLICE BAND FORCE SEVEN "Force Seven Play High Life Blues" (Parlophone PNL 1021) original EMI NIGERIA 1969 pressing (black silver label)
ULTRA RARE ALBUM! SUPERB CONDITION! Can find very little information on this recording on the web - reading the sleevenotes it states the band formed in June 1968 and this album was released exactly a year later. So definitely dates from 1969. Tracks include "Komin Nisan Depe", "Umu Emu", "Ofuya Special", "Hail One Nigeria" etc. Most tracks written by "Cpl. Fadeyibi" and "George Ofuya". Superb afro highlife as you'd expect.
In great condition - most African vinyl turns up wrecked, and this has been well looked after. Hopefully this copy will be properly preserved and suitably archived in a collection of African recordings.

DESCRIPTION : Disc has been well looked after with a few light paper scuffs, no scratches you can feel, nothing to affect play. Labels pristine. Sleeve excellent - no tears or writing or edge wear. NICE COPY!

SMALL PRINT : I am first and foremost a collector, and grade strictly as I wish everyone would. Records will be well-packed between cardboard, and sent in record mailers. In the interests of the environment, these will be recycled whenever possible. Albums will be removed from outer sleeve to avoid seam splits in transit. All records are sent with a certificate of posting, if you wish additional insurance please ask – I cannot be held responsible for missing parcels.
