Description
For auction: LaMonte Young, collaborating with Marian Zazuela; untitled LP ("Edition X, Munchen") self-released on Mr. Young's Dream House Records label. Side One: "31 VII 69 10:26 - 10:49 PM" (23 min.); LaMonte Young; voice and sine wave drone, Marian Zazuela; voice. Side Two: "23 VIII 64 2:50:45 - 3:11 AM, The Volga Delta" (20 min. 15 sec.); LaMonte Young; bowed gong, Marian Zazuela; bowed gong. A close inspection of the label photo reveals that this copy is # 89 of 2,800 copies; "Number 89 of an edition of 2800 copies of which Numbers 1-98 are dated and signed by the artists." Signatures are on label (pictured) on Side One, as well as visible on back of cover at bottom. Cover shows minimal wear, black-on-black library stamps, repair tape upper right, written catalog number (in white, upper left). Record appears as unplayed; has cataloging number written on label, Side One. We have tried hard here, with limited success, to take photos worthy of the cover images. Unfortunately for these circumstances, we are record dealers, not photographers. Suffice to say that the cover images are best appreciated by the naked eye in the optimum lighting conditions, viewed at exactly the proper angle. Back cover has extensive notes --- in barely legible, dark-on-black background calligraphy --- describing all aspects of production. With all this, satisfaction is guaranteed. Shipping (in the US) is $4.00 USPS media mail or $5.50 priority mail; tracking included for either/or. Canadian buyers pay for airmail ($6). Buyers from all other countries pay for airmail ($12). Optional insurance will be billed accordingly; we cannot be responsible for lost or damaged shipments that are not insured. Shipments are sent on Mondays and Thursdays.
