Sealed 1984 16LP Box Set. This Is An Exceptionally Rare Promotional Beatles Collection Released In 1984 By Capitol Data Systems, And Was A Gift To A Few Lucky Capitol Employees. Information About This Collection Is Sparse, It Is Unknown How Many Were Produced -Some Speculations Are As Low As 85. I Can Only Find 2 Examples Having Been Sold On eBay In The Last 10 Years Includes: Meet The Beatles, The Beatles Second Album, Something New, Beatles 65, The Early Beatles, Beatles Iv, Help, Rubber Soul, Revolver, Yesterday & Today, Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, Magical Mystery Tour, The Beatles, Yellow Submarine, Hey Jude, Abbey Road. These Are All Purple Or Black Label Capitol Pressing. Kept in cool dry home for 40 years Just in time for Christmas to get this rare collectors item. This is one of the rarest Beatles box sets ever issued. It was issued in very small numbers to promote Capitol Records' doomed foray into the computer floppy disk business, and was never for sale commercially It rarely appears on the collectors market and is a collector’s must have! The slipcase is silver with black print "Compliments of Capitol Data Systems a Division of Capitol Records." The LP’s are U.S. issue. Collectors are not likely to see another “The Platinum Series Beatles Collection” on the market in the foreseeable future! This item is in near Mint condition: The Slipcase is in original shrink wrap and condition with very minor scuffs from storage. 16 of the albums remain factory sealed and in mint condition. The collection will be shipped in a sturdy box surrounded by packing materials to protect it in shipment. Shipment will be insured upon buyers request.
