This record is unique and commonly searched for collectable, this original beatles yesterday and today album is the " second state" version meaning - the morning this album hit stores on jun 20, 1966 it created such a huge uproar and controversy from its cover( the butcher cover has them holding decapitated baby dolls mixed with cuts of beef) that it was emidiatly recalled back to capitol records, instead of throwing away all the record covers they simply slapped a sticker of the new cover(them arround and in a trunk not smiling) over the original cover( butcher cover) these ones are called - second state edition and second in rarity only to the super rare first state ( which u had to literally buy it within the first hour or to of the record shops opening on the morning of june 20, 1966 on the east coast i believe, still sealed coppies of the first state ( no covering sticker butcher cover) have sold for over 100,000 dollars
