32865 Columbia Graphophone, model B1, measures
approximately 13” x 13” x 8” and  features original finish
to oak and metal surfaces as well as 3 original decals,
the front ribbon decal trumpeting the official name of 
the unit (THE COLUMBIA DISC GRAPHOPHONE), country
of origin (USA), patent history (1886, 1903) and maker
 (COLUMBIA PHONOGRAPH – NEW YORK, LONDON)  

c. 1906-1907 date of origin is indicated by the inclusion 
of the 1906 Milan Exposition Award on the hard-to-read
 GRAND PRIZE AWARDS side decal that also lists the
 Paris (1900) and St. Louis (1904) Grand Prize awards
bestowed on the Graphophone and Columbia Records

9-petal horn is likely of nickel-plated brass and measures
approximately 21" at the diameter and 18" tall; one
 petal hosts a handful of superficial scratches while
some of the other petals show a few minor dings; the
 threaded screw-on portion shows incipient separation

mechanical components of graphophone are all present
 including original 10" green felt turntable, Analyzing
Reproducer with volume regulator, crank and motor,
and speed control


condition
  third original decal affixed inside reminds that it is
  "IMPORTANT....all bearings on this motor must be
thoroughly oiled.....  points to the the service that should
be performed asap by the new owner, as the squeaky
wheelshould the grease -- ;  ribbon decal in front is partially
rubbed and smaller side decal shows about 1/2 loss   

nearly 100 soft, 100 medium and 100 loud (approx. 270)
new needles will accompany the graphophone to its new
owner along with as many 78 records one is able to beg,
 borrow and steal from the original single-owning family
