COVER: EX (small tear and original price sticker on back)
RECORD: Side 1 VG / Side 2 EX to NM-
I almost did not list this album because it does have a slight warp, which affects the beginning of Side 1 (beginning of Side 2 , not so much).
I tested it on two different turntables, both vintage but not super high-end. On the Bang and Olufsen 5500, which is quite forgiving of vinyl anomalies, it did thump through Side 1, Track 1, but did not jump. Just a few thumps on Side 2, and the rest of both sides sounded great, despite some very light marks, moreso on first side than second. On the Garrard, Side 1 did jump with the tracking at 1 gram. By increasing weight to 2.5 grams, it played fine and did not even thump. Side 2 was good at a lower tracking weight, and again the rest of both sides play-graded as at least Excellent; in other words, I did not perceive extraneous noise.
So that should give a fairly precise indication of the severity of the warp and effect of visual imperfections. The most hardcore audiophiles will not be interested, but I'd just as soon keep this copy for myself rather than give it away. Hence, a relatively low starting bid.
If the winner finds this worse than expected, the record may be returned for refund of purchase price, but since I have made this disclaimer, you will have to pay for return shipping (in accordance with standard eBay rules).

Rare vinyl recording in exceptional condition - in order to list a number of auctions quickly, only the basic info is provided in the title. If you have specific questions about cutout marks or condition you cannot see in the pictures, please contact me. Grading is visual; can play a bit by request, but give me a couple days
PLEASE NOTE: Make sure you realize this is a vinyl LP. If you are looking for cds, go to the cd category. If you bid on this, you will be obligated to buy.
I try to apply the GOLDEN RULE when grading*, but please e-mail or call if you have any questions.
NM: no marks, no evidence of play
NM-: May have one or two very light marks which would not be noticed except for extremely close inspection and which will not affect play.
EX: May have a few very light marks which are nearly invisible and most likely do not sound.
VG+: May have some visible light marks but no feelable scratches. May play with a minimum of noise during quiet passages
ABOUT THE SHIPPING WITHIN U.S.A. : Media mail $3.95 1st record, $.50 each additional
INTERNATIONAL: Most international shipping charges are $17 for 1st LP, $4 each additional. (CANADA $12)
THE US POST OFFICE INCREASED RATES BY APPROXIMATELY 30% on January 27, 2013. Only part opf that is being passed on to the buyer.
My costs include more than $1 for the LP mailer/packing materials and at least $.75 to PayPal. Ask about flat rate international combined purchase deal for 11/14 discs.
I generally ship in new LP mailer with disc outside cover, both encased in a plastic sleeve and then all inside a plastic grocery-type bag (recycle!), in case it gets left in rain by post office. It usually includes a sheet of bubble wrap. Purchases over $20 generally double-boxed.
* This means that I try to consider what my reaction would be as a buyer, upon winning this auction and pulling the record out its sleeve the first time. Please note that grades are visual. It seems to me that play-grading is even more subjective and entails other variables, such as the sensitivity of one's equipment. I have not listened to many of these records but will try to upon request. There is not a huge amount of difference between NM/NM-/EX. As anyone who has handled a lot of used records knows, some play better than they look and VICE VERSA. If you have problem with something you receive from me (to err is human), please contact me through eBay, and we will most likely be able to work it out.
Note:
IF item has free shipping, it is already discounted $4. Best offer option is intended for international buyers who must pay $17 shipping.
If this item has the Best Offer option, and you offer a radically lower price than is listed, you are wasting your time, which does not bother me. However, you are also wasting my time, which does bother me and will prompt an immediate decline, which subtracts from the number of offers you then have available.
That being said, I AM WILLING TO ACCOMODATE BUYERS OUTSIDE THE U.S. because they have to add a $17.00 shipping charge. U.S. buyers get free shipping which carries through to the Best Offer, so figure you are ALREADY getting a $4 reduction, as that is generally at least what it costs me, counting packing materials and fees. The way eBay/PayPal assess fees on the shipping portion determines the reasoning behind this policy. Thanks.
Shipping charges are the Buyer's responsibility.
ITALY- I am sorry, but no more records will be shipped. Many sellers have this policy. Bidding has been excluded, but contact me through eBay if you want an exception.
