david bowie - can't help thinking about me - US issue

unbelievably rare first bowie single released in the us.
i have to admit the vinyl has seen better days.
i've only ever seen this item put up for sale once on ebay and it reached almost £1500.
because of the rarity i'm not sure the condition is relevant.
i've been collecting bowie for over 30 years and only know of two others. one on www.bowie-singles.co.uk website and another in a personal collection.
judging by the image on bowie singles site they are all in similar fair condition.
it's really not worth waiting for a mint one to come along.
when you consider how many copies of liza jane exist and retail at he same figure it really is undervalued.
if someone wants to complete a us collection this is probably the once in a lifetime opportunity.
