Head East Flat As a Pancake Original Pyramid Record Rare Lp 1974 only 5000. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Media Mail.This was the only pressing of this first record from HeadEast. The band sold 5000 copies of this album . There’s even fewer 8 tracks , after they made this record they signed with A&M records so once these sold , no more copies were ever made . When the album was reissued A&M did new artwork for this record and switched side A and B. On this original record , the bands biggest hit , Never Been any Reason, is the first song on side 2. The commercial version now has this song on side A. In the deadwax, there’s no actual catalog number , it says Pancake A and there’s a machine stamp KENDUN A, flip side is the same but has a B instead. KENDUN Recorders did the mastering on this release ,although produced by the band and recorded at Golden Voice in Peoria The record sound great, just like the commercial version. This record will be professionally cleaned on a VPI 16.5 cleaner.The record is not perfect but I’m trying to undergrade this as a VG++/NM- record, no marks or scratches on either side of the record.The sleeve is easily a vg+ condition, there’s a bit of rub on the back where the record rubs from underneath, there’s a small bend in the lower left corner.barely any hatching along the folded edge, there are no seam splits on any side. There’s a couple small water spots on the front.. Check all the photos to see the front and back cover , the labels on the record and even the edge of the cover. This is not perfect but grades as 80/85 of 100. The first copy I’ve seen of this 45 year old record. Please ask any questions before you bid on this item. It’s a great copy of a classic 70s record that still gets played on Classic rock radio. This record will ship media mail for $4.50 in a solid record mailer, sleeve outside the cover to avoid damage to the sleeve, no minimum or reserve pricing, just the minimum
