Description
Notes: Original pressing of Genesis on the church's own label out of TX. Sleeve is NM in shrink. Disc also NM but I'll grade as VG++ cuz of a couple little pressing bubbles which cause dull clicks for a few revolutions (no biggie). Super creative concept album riffing off the Book of Genesis with a precious innocent church kid charm, cool harpsichord, organ, guitar, vocals and crude production. The group is in a groove and the whole thing just works. I love this record and it might just be my favorite in this style but this "style" is very much low budget and amateur and not for all ears. Official title may be God Started the Whole Thing Going but it's hard to tell. Also, I think this is genuinely rare - it's reported to be a 50 press and is only the 3rd copy I've seen irl or in computerland. Check the sound clip for a taste and see both photos below. Fantastic collection of local/private label Jesus Music LPs in the psych, rock, folk, etc vein this week. See our other auctions if this is your thing....
