Description
My mum bought me this in 1975 after I had some dental treatment and let me chose any record in the shop ( Stereo Trends in Sheffield) I was 13. This wonderful double album does have some sentimental value but 8 have made the decision to sell as I need the funds plus I have a Classic records copy from around 2000 and need to start selling some of my records before I go totally deaf. I’ve just played it to check the quality, there are some clicks and pops (mainly side 3) but for a 49 year old record it plays fantastic in my opinion and made me smile as I listened. I used a good quality deck with a moving coil cartridge. I have cleaned it with a VPI record machine and put it in some Mo-FI inner sleeves. The outer sleeve has some wear but again good for it’s age, I love the sleeve and as a 13 year old loved scrutinising the windows and the writing on the ‘mid sleeve’. I have kept it in a clear sleeve to protect it. I have put a question mark after ‘first pressing’ as I do not know how to tell, as explained above it was bought very soon after release. I’ll be sad to see it go but hopefully whoever buys it enjoys the album as much as I have. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Roksan Xerxes x turntable, Ortofon cadenza blue cartridge, naim amplifiers, linn speakers.
This LP has been cleaned on a VPI 16.5 Vinyl Cleaner and comes in mobile fidelity anti static sleeve placed in the inner sleeve that came with the LP.
