LP - RCA Victor LPM-1254 Mono Original First Pressing - "ELVIS PRESLEY" Self-Titled Debut Album - (1956) 1st Pressing
A first pressing copy, probably from the middle or later part of the press run based on the matrix (5S/3S) "Elvis" in lighter pink on front cover, lower right hand corner of back of jacket has the box with the "gruve-gard" dog pictured inside the box. Vinyl has some scratches and scuffs, plays better than it looks (I play-tested the entire LP). No skips, some pops and snaps and background noise in places. I would play-grade the vinyl at around VG; the labels have some wear (see photos below). Jacket I would also grade VG, has some soiling, top seam has a split of about 7". This is not a copy for the purist; however, it has good sound and is very presentable - enjoyable to listen to if you are not looking for a mint record, and the jacket has decent eye appeal.
