Description

John Bender "I Don't Remember Now / I Don't Want to Talk About It" Record Sluts 003101, 1980. Lp VG+ (sleeve marks); hand-done, stamped chipboard jacket EX- (very mild rubbing). *** VERY RARE! This copy is numbered in red ink #140 (lower right corner). Awesome, highly sought-after cold-wave, minimal electro masterpiece from this mysterious Ohio artist. Self-released, as were his follow-up lps (Plaster Falling and Pop Surgery) on his Record Sluts label. This one is my favorite, as it has the terrific cover version of Faust's "It's a Rainy Day" included(!). Absolutely winning, home-brewed experimental electronic pop, presented in impeccable, homemade fashion! Not to be missed! References: Ike Yard, Food and Shelter, Men/Eject, Charles De Goal, Nurse With Wound, United Dairies, Pinakotheca, Vanity Records. *** Please see my other auctions, too, as I will always have exciting stuff related to these areas of musical interest: avant garde, free jazz, post punk, Fluxus, experimental, improvisation, folk blues, ethnic international. *** Paypal strongly preferred. Money orders are fine. Cash is not advised and is sent at your own risk. Personal checks not accepted. Priority postage within USA: $5.00 for one single album; double album or two separate lps $7.00; Media mail costs less, but takes a bit longer. International winner will pay actual postage/packaging, to be calculated after auction's close. Payment to be received within ten days of auction's close. THANKS.
