Most Blues enthusiasts believe that these early 1950s Cobra recordings of Otis Rush capture his essence and express the purity of the Blues.  After listening to this LP for the first time in twenty years, we agree with the enthusiasts.  "Rush's strengths and weaknesses are amply illustrated in the eighteen tracks included here:  the brooding intensity ... the dribbling inanity ... the magnetic voice and guitar..."
