*** 1928 Jazz classic ***
Top Notch 1920s Chicago Jazz stompers. One of the hottest Jazz groups to ever record. The is the State Street Ramblers as Blythe's Blue Boys. This is a original 1928 Champion issue (and not a latter 1930s Champion-Decca issue)
Recorded for Gennett in Richmond, IN, April 23, 1928.

artist: State Street Ramblers (here as Blythe's Blue Boys) titles: My Baby / Tack It Down year: 1928 label: Champion - 15528 condition: (grading is from 1 to 10 with 10 being new) visually: 5 to 6 out of 10 (scratches/scuffs - dulling surface/greying - there's a deep "groove" scratchs in the middle of "Tack It Down" that sticks, you'll need to pick-up the needle and place it a little further to play again - plus a little skip at start) plays: 5 out of 10 (still an enjoyable and strong player, besides the skip and stuck groove on "Tack It Down" other side plays fine without any skips) Looks V to V+ plays V
