Jesse Olden Cryor (* 12. August 1906 in Baltimore, Maryland; † 11. January 2006 in Hazel Crest, Illinois) was an American blues - and jazz singer and songwriter.
Jesse Olden Cryor, the oldest of seven children, was blinded in his youth after a traffic accident. In order to contribute to the family income, he joined as an entertainer in local speakeasies and toured in 1927 with the black vaudeville -Tourneegruppe Drake and Walker Revue from his hometown Baltimore. For a time, he joined New York as a soloist; after which he toured with the Will Mastin Trio and later with pianist Bob Williams in which Williams and Cryor Force (1930-33).End of the 30s he was again active as a soloist and also led his own band, Jesse Cryor and the Ramblin 'Rascals. [1]
In 1940 he married the dancer show Laverne Wesley, which he in Los Angeles had met. 1942-43 he was a vocalist in the Noble Sissle Big Band. After leaving Sissles band itself Cryor settled in Los Angeles and worked on the west coast. In 1946 he took in Los Angeles on two records for the label G & G and participated in a session of Irving Ashby band. As a film singer, he served in 1946 in the Disney strips Song of the South as the voice of B'rer Rabbit [2]. When his professional opportunities late 40s were in Los Angeles less, he moved to Chicago in 1950. [1]
In 1951 he took there as Cryin Jesse for Premium Records on ("And She Cried" / "Feelin Goodie Goodie"). Cryor left the music business in 1952 and worked until his retirement in the early 80s as a porter at the Palmer House Hotel. One of his songs, "You've Got Me Wrong" was founded by Billy Boy Arnold in October 1955 near its session for Vee-Jay Records recorded. 1995 suffered a stroke and died in 2006 Cryor in Hazel Crest (Illinois). His daughter Phyllis M. Johnson wrote about the last living representative of the vaudeville era (previously unreleased retarded) biographical portrait (Jesse Cryor, 2001); Tab Smith wrote in January 2006 an obituary in the Chicago Sun-Times. [1]

E-,VG++,VG+,VG,VG-,G+......Highest to lowest for 78s.I only use E or E+ when the record looks new and unplayed or perfect. E- or indeed VG++ are very nice and should be more than satisfactory to discerning collectors.
All 78s will be packed between 4 cardboard squares and boxed professionally with insulation to guarantee safe delivery.
