OK slickrick_1988 is BACK from a hot summer haitus of sun and suds and is revving up for a cool fall season of eBay auction MADNESS!  This latest batch of records is a way to get my feet wet after being away from all of you for so long, and after seeing what I have to offer, you'll agree my feet are going to be SOAKED!  All kinds of rare CANADIAN FUNK, SOUL AND JAZZ, as well as some nice AFRO bits, LATIN nuggets, ISLAND stormers, and even a few rare STONES THROW related pieces for you completionist types out there, as well as the usual assortment of top quality gems... all items are ORIGINAL unless stated otherwise!  I do my best to please you, my eBay customer, so please refer to my feedback (excepting one freak of nature who is NO LONGER registered on eBay - this is what I have to deal with!) to see how I do ALL I can to please those who do purchase records from me!  Ok enough for now... good luck and enjoy!

DESCRIPTION: Well, yet another ultra rare funk bomb being offered in this round of auctions, this time a group of fine young ladies hailing from the friendly nation of South Korea, who certainly knew how to get down the FUNK!  These pretty young things toured all over the place playing in nice hotels, and this, their one and only album, was recorded in NOVA SCOTIA on Canada's EAST COAST... first 'on the scene' because it was compiled on the G.I. FUNK compilation from a few years back, there are 3 tracks you are going to want this one for, besides the incredible novelty of this record... the first is the comped track "FUNKY STUFF", a version of KOOL and the GANG'S classic which really does justice to the original, but also adds a little female Korean flavour to the mix, definitely worth the opening bid alone... then you have a particularly good cover of "PICK UP THE PIECES"... normally, I'm not really into that tune, but these cutiepies really get me into it and then some... FUNKY !  Then, for you breaks fanatics and beatheads, there is a track called "DRUM SOLO", which honest to goodness, is 3-4 minutes of JUST drums.. all kinds of patterns and arrangements, but just their cute drummer ROCKING OUT on the drums for the entire duration of the track... I can promise you Pete Rock, Biz Markie, DJ Shadow... none of those guys have this record... actually, I only knew 1 other guy who had it, and he sold it to the G.I. Funk guys... so that makes 2 copies... good luck!

Who is slickrick_1988? I'm an avid record collector who's always looking for new records. I sometimes DJ, and sometimes I even sell records, too. I have been buying and selling records for a long time. I started this particular account two years ago with the intent of using this account to buy records because too many people I knew were checking my old account to see what I was up to. However, I now use this solely as a SELLING account. I am unfortunately extremely busy so I do not get to sell much, but the quality of my feedback speaks for itself. Bid with confidence - it's my goal to make you, the customer, happy!

GRADING: I grade using the GOLDMINE standard. You can look that up on the internet to see what I mean. I also use a very good quality light to do so, to make sure every part of the record and sleeve are visible when looking for defects.

PAYMENT: PAYPAL (No additional fees!), POSTAL MONEY ORDER (MUST BE PAYABLE IN CANADA)

SHIPPING: I do ship the record as soon as I have your funds either arrived via mail or in my Paypal account. It is my goal to get them out the day after I get your money, but sometimes, it takes a few days longer. I also try to notify you when the records have been shipped so that you're not stuck waiting aimlessly and wondering what I am doing or where your record is (that is the WORST - I know!!!!). All the records are packed professionally and are sent well packed in a proper record mailer of a special quality and sealed expertly with hard packing tape. As well, I 'd like to specially note that I do remove the LPs out of the cover and are protected with a plastic-sleeve. In exceptional cases, I include bubble-wrap.

SHIPPING COSTS: WITHIN NORTH AMERICA: 10, USD EUROPE/ASIA: 14 USD (but double-LP's and extremely heavy LP's may be MORE. This is the cost. It is much more expensive to ship now then when we all started doing this on here, and to insure that the record is SAFELY packaged, I may have to go over by a few grams and this raises the cost. 7 inches are usually half the price of LP's. I try to always ship via air mail, as that it is the best both in how fast it arrives at your door, and for the cost. If you want it there faster, please ask and I will let you know how much extra it will be. I also recommend getting it registered (IF AVAILABLE - NOT ALWAYS!), and insurance for more expensive items. These, of course, are more (insurance is usually between $1-3 more and registered is usually $10-15 more on LP's). Finally, I combine shipping on items very happily, so don't worry - I won't charge you triple the price if you buy 3 records (unless the post office tells me that is what the cost is!)
