*** 1920s Chicago Hot Jazz stompers***
From the collection of a dutch female collector who sadly passed away years ago. Her records where kept by a family member. She started buying Jazz in the early 30s and expanded her taste to Blues when the first pioneering reissues were released in the 50s. She worked as a translator and for her job she traveled to France, Germany, Italy, England...picking up records along the way.
1954 vinyl mini LP compilation of recordings by Jimmy Blythe's sensational State Street Ramblers. These stompin' Hot Jazz classics were all released on 78 rpm by Gennett/Champion in 1928. Produced by Bill Grauer, Jr. and Orrin Keepnews founders of Riverside Records.
The cover art was done by Blues historian/writter Paul Oliver.
