Description
This listing is for the rare, 1966, Howlin' Wolf, 33 1/3 rpm, vinyl record and original cardboard sleeve/jacket shown and as found. "The Real Folk Blues," on Chess Records, 1502. This is the real, High Fidelity, deal. Please be sure to view all of the photos and read the full description below. There are some issues that potential bidders need to be aware of. I try to be as accurate as possible with my listings, but please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
VINYL: It does have quite a few light-to-medium scratches; some a little deeper and more noticeable. I played both sides through, and for the most part the album sounds really nice, with only minor surface noise and an occasional pop here and there. The biggest issue is on side 2, the fifth song. When "Ooh Baby, Hold Me" begins, the needle gets stuck, just at the very beginning. This is the only place on the album that this happens. You can also see, unfortunately, that the previous owner made their written mark on the side one paper label area.
DEAD WAX AREA (side 1)= Looks like... 14188. DEAD WAX AREA (side 2)= 852 14189 LP 1502 52
CARDBOARD SLEEVE/JACKET: In overall very nice condition for being almost 60 years old. Some minor damage, mainly on sides and edges, but nothing major. Some yellowing and minor marks, mainly seen on the back. As you can also see on the back, the same previous owner made their written mark on the top left corner. All and all though, this is a very nice example of this 1966 cover. If it was not for the written initials, I would have rated the cover at vg+ or better.
SHIPPING: Will be packed securely and shipped timely. Combined shipping gladly offered.
