Description

This rare and very obscure 45 RPM vinyl record by BILL THOMAS on Savoy Records is a must-have for collectors of RnB/Soul/Funk music! This record comes from my father’s private collection of which the Savoys came directly from his job AT SAVOY as a teenaged employee at the Newark, NJ plant. This record isn’t just one of the most obscure records Savoy ever released this one has never been played!! My father kept his Savoy collection in its own room.

A very rare chance to own a copy of "SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN Pt. 1 & Pt. 2," with Thomas's unique funk and style in store stock condition. It is M- merely because of the very slight ring on the label from being stored in between records.


The record is in M- condition and features an etched vinyl matrix number of 45-SBT 68-023A X20 on the A side and 45-SBT-023 with the first B x'ed out and redone along with X20 on the B side. This single was released in the 1960s and is catalog number 1628. This is a rare jew for many reasons!
