Description
Here's the 1983 Slash Records compilation Slash : The Early Sessions with some amazing early Slash and Ruby Records cult hits by bands like The Germs, X, The Gun Club, The Blasters, Rank & File The Dream Syndicate and Fear, but you also get the corresponding promotional Slash Records mailer sent to retail contacts to promote the set of Slash's 1983 releases at the time, including this compilation release, as well as new 1983 titles by Los Lobos, The Blasters, Green On Red, and at the time an almost totally unknown band with no previous releases...The Violent Femmes !!
Of course The Violent Femmes debut record would eventually become one of (if not the) label's best sellers, and over a long stretch of time, became one of the best selling debut LPs ever !!
Almost all of these retail mailers likely ended up in the recycling or trash bins at the record stores and/or media outlets they were sent to, but here you have one that was stored and preserved well inside one of the LPs it features !!
The LP includes:
A1 The Blasters– Border Radio
2:43
A2 The Gun Club– Sex Beat

A3 Rank And File– The Conductor Wore Black

A4 Violent Femmes– Blister In The Sun
