Description

Kiss- The Originals

Released July 21, 1976

Includes all three original Kiss studio albums

This limited edition triple-album set was released as the mania for Kiss was starting to hit full force. The set included a black gatefold cover featuring an atomic blast and the faint images of the band in the mushroom cloud. The cover folds out to reveal a pocket folder holding the first three albums in paper sleeves printed with the original album covers, front and back; a 16-page, album sized booklet which featuredearly photos, passes and ads for the band; a large Kiss Army sticker; and a set of six perforated bubblegum cards on a cardboard sheet featuring the band members in action on stage, while the reverse offered vital statistics for each member, the Kiss Army and the band as a whole.

Although the album was a limited release, it sold out so quickly that Casablanca reissued it a short time later. The reissue appeared with "second printing" in the top right-hand corner of the front cover.

There is a piece of plastic missing in the bottom right corner, and there are a few small splits around the top edge.
