Description
Various (Stan Getz, Sonny Stitt, Fats Navarro, Bud Powell, Hank Jones, Max Roach, Leo Parker, Denzil Best, Tadd Dameron) OPUS DE BOP Savoy 12114, recorded 1947-50. Silver and bright red mono original LP. Not deep groove. Laminated heavy jacket is E: 2 paper tears on right edge of front, and a rubber stamp and magic marker blotch on reverse. Fields and edges, though are generally very clean and lustrous. Disc looks NM- and plays NM-, though these items are from disc sources originally and some surface noise from that transfer play is still audible.
Seventeenth offering from the vast, very special collection of an international avant-garde LP maven, to be offered across the coming year. Most of these items have had one owner and one play, have not left the original house of the collector since purchase.
