Description
Please check my other auctions! Not all are internationally visible so be sure to click on "See other items" under my username. I'm selling my personal collection of US and Canadian rarities including my extensive Chess Records and King/Federal/Deluxe catalogues. CONDITION: vg++ vinyl has some light scratches, none feelable (not audible), nice sheen; thick disc plays with high fidelity, no distortion. Jacket has sound seams, light ring wear & typical aging to back (acid in the paper caused the back slicks of most Chess LPs to age this way). The first Chess label was black with silver printing, "CHESS" vertically on the left side of the label. During this time, some issues used dark blue labels with silver printing; graphics were the same. These were the original labels on 1425 to approximately 1482, but also appeared sporadically on original albums as late as LP-1500. (From "Both Sides Now", what I believe to be the world authority on record label discographies. Thanks guys!) SHIPPING ESTIMATES NOTE: Some older pressings are thicker or more fragile than others, or simply more rare and valuable, and therefore require additional packaging to ensure a safe arrival. Insurance via small packet air mail is capped at $100, so if a record sale exceeds $300 full insurance is recommended, but not required. Please contact me if you have special requirements.
