Description
The album is a very sort after 1st press MONO.
Vinyl I would put at vgc+ crackle more noticeable in the quiet bits, but the sound is fantastic, visually excellent, beautiful copy, ironically more crackle on side two that wasn't played much, as it was George Martin instrumental songs that were part of the film especially during the Submarines voyage through the 7 seas and nothing to do with the Beatles.
Cover Is VGC it's got some age related concerns and a sticker from the original owner to a friend on the back, nice still.
The Black original inner is great excellent..
Now to the fun part, What was yellow sub all about. Firstly, the title track sung by Ringo was on an album that was two before Yellow sub came out, Revolver, the first psychedelic album by the Beatles and certainly more Psychedelic than Sgt Peps.
In a town [small town blues on an island, is a man that gets away from it all], he's sea fairing stories tell of strange lands and Tempest Shakespearian islands of magic and Mayhem. so we sailed to the horizon, {over the rainbow bridge], then we submerged into the uncousicience of the archetypal history of not just humans but the mystical schools of masonry and Junginisam. And sailed through the seven sea of Rhy, JUST LIKE MOZART'S 'The Magic Flute'. And believe me that is no coincidence, as one master of his age to another George Lucan and Brian Epstein and the Beatles as well were well aware of the genius film and book that was being produced that mirrored Mozart's classic opera about the challenges of rituals and redemption that masons like ancient Osirian's Egyptians had to take to make a man of them and save society. There is actually a youtube video on all this. The whole script story and beautiful songs add another Masonic level to Beatlemania, coupled to the fact that uppers and downer amphetamine pills of the day were often called yellow subs and Blue meanies. The whole album songs and themes of this seemingly childish album has actually got deep quotations of masonry and Jungian depth enshrined in every note and word.
