Description

Hello, And Thank You for looking at this auction. I have been collecting records for about 30 years. My personal collection consists of mainly 1950 / 60's DooWop, Rockabilly, along with Rock & Roll and Picture Sleeves. Please read my feedbacks, they tell a story of what I buy !!! I have virtually shelves of " My Collection ", which DOES NOT include Country / Western. So over all these years I have accumulated 1000's of C/W. I would but huge " LOTS " and pick only the 45's I collected, then put the rest in storage. Included in these finds were the remains of a store in South Dakota that had every 45 in alphabetical order.  I went through all my boxes laying in storage and came up with over 1600 45's. AND THEY ALL ARE COUNTRY / WESTERN...They are from 1949 through 1990. There are 45's in sleeves (1000), no sleeves (400), promos (200), colored vinyl (28), EP's with cover (11), EP's w/o covers (13), EP covers w/o records (8), & 331/3 Mini LP's (9).....they total 1600...but there are more, and I will be adding more as I find them, until auction ending... If you get this lot for under $2000.00, you stole it. I can not stress enough....THESE ARE NOT CHERRY PICKED....I DO NOT COLLECT C&W......Let me tell you some of the highlight of this auction......

1000 Sleeved 45's.....These all vary from the years 1950 until 1990. I would say that 75% of these are VG/VG+ or better.....

400 no sleeve 45's.....Here again are a variety of 45's. The condition range from VG toVG+ . I will not sell records that would grade under VG....I throw them to the Salvation Army Truck...

200 Promo/ DJ 45's.. I would say that the majority, about 80% would be graded VG+ or better, with a high % being unplayed and in the original factory sleeves.

28 Colored vinyl 45's..To start these off, there are 8 Eddy Arnold GREEN vinyl, they books for up to $60.00 each, with 6 of them being VG+/SVG+. The Eddy 45's alone would be worth about $400 to $500..And now add the others...What a find. I told you I am holding nothing back...All my C&W  45's are going to be sold in this auction

Well, I have received quite a few  emails asking me to give a more detailed description of the 1000 sleeved and 400 unlseeved 45's. I just took out a couple handfulls of each catagory. The sleeved 45'slooked at 1st glance to be a bunch of newer ones. and the unsleeved, looked like a bunch of older ones. But, here is what I came up with....

1st ) The PROMOS: The labels I noticed were RCA-Victor, Sims, Nashboro, MCA, Columbia, Capitol. Capitol Nashville, Starday, Hickory, Decca, Challenge. the artists were Porter Wagoner, Stuart Hamblin, Bobby Bare, Frankie Miller, Arthur " Guitar Boogie " Smith, Sonny James, Conway Twitty, Little Jimmy Dickens, Jeannie Seal

2nd ) SLEEVED: Alabama, Ronnie Milsap, Oak Ridge Boys, Kenny Rogers, Don Williams, The Statler Brothers, Dolly Parton, Floyd Cramer, Jerry Reed, Johnny Paycheck, Joe Stampley, Lee Greenwood, Eddie Rabbit, Glen Campbell, & Sonny James...The labels were RCA, Columbia, Warner Brothers, Epic, MCA, Monument, Decca,& Capitol. Now this was only a handfull of 45's that were in the front in no particular order...There are many Used, New, & Unplayed. I believe this is a Treasure hunt here....

3rd ) UNSLEEVED: I picked a handful out of this group and came up with this...the artists were Stonewall Jackson, Jim Reeves, Cal Smith, Roy Drusky, Sonny James, Webb Pierce, Kitty Wells, Willie Nelson, The Statler Brothers, Bobby Bare, Ray Price, Hank Snow, T.Texas Tyler, Slim Whitman, Marty robbins, eddie arnold, Chet Atkins, Bob Wills, Alabama, ect.. the labels were Columbia, RCA-Victor, Plantation, Chart, Capitol, Mercury, Imperial, and a whole bunch of Decca.. No, again this was only the first handful I grabbed and it looked like a lot of old style labels.

So, I hope this helps you all a little bit. The majority of the group looks to be in Very Good / Near Mint condition...I have never sold in this much quantity before. So I'm lacking what I should list and what is in this group. Anyway, good Luck and Great Bidding !!!!

               MY GRADING SYSTEM :

MINT : I DO NOT USE THIS GRADE, AS I HAVE FOUND OUT EVERYONES DEFINITION OF MINT VARIES......

SVG+ : A VERY CLEAN COPY, WITH VERY LIGHT MARKS, IF ANY AT ALL ! IT MAY HAVE VERY MINIMAL SURFACE NOISE....

VG+   : A COPY THAT HAS EVER SO LIGHT SCRATCHES OR PAPER SCUFFS. PLAYS BETTER THAN IT LOOKS ! PLAYS WITH A SLIGHT SURFACE NOISE.....

VG     : A COPY THAT IS STILL VERY NICE, BUT LOOKS A BIT USED AND HAS LIGHT SCRATCHES, PAPER SCUFFS, BUT NO DEEP GOUGES ! PLAYS WITH SOME SURFACE NOISE.....

AND ANYTHING THAT DOES NOT FIT ANY OF THESE GRADES, I DO NOT SELL SINGULARLY !!! I WILL OFFER THEM IN A " LOT ", BUT WILL TELL THE BUYER OF THEIR CONDITION......
