Art Pepper +11 – “Modern Jazz Classics” (Contemporary S 7568). This LP features saxophonist Art Pepper on arrangements by Marty Paich and includes several jazz standards with compositions by Dizzy Gillespie, Horace Silver and Sonny Rollins reinterpreted by Art Pepper. Fifteen musicians participate in the recording of this album in addition to Art Pepper and represent the "fine flower" of the West Coast Jazz. Cuts include: “Move”; “Groovin High”; “Opus De Funk”; “’Round Midnight”; “Four Brothers”; “Shawnuff”; “Bernie’s Tune”; “”Walkin’ Shoes”; “Anthropology”; “Airegin”; “Walkin”; and “Donna Lee.” Black label.
