RARE, DESIRABLE ORIGINAL 1957 MONO VERVE RECORDING OF, ELLA FITZGERAL SINGS THE DUKE ELLINGTON SONG BOOK.
Featuring, Ella Fitzgerald With Duke Ellington And His Orchestra. Verve Records – MGV 4010-4, MONO produced in 1957. The box in VERY GOOD CONDITION, top and bottom still attached. There is moderate wear at the corners, small splits on the bottom 2 corners, scratching on plain orange bottom box, slight warping of the top edge of the top box. A previous owner inked name behind top cover of the box. Booklet insert present in EXCELLENT CONDITION. LPs stored in two gatefold cardboard jackets, Volume One MGV-40082, and Volume Two MGV 4009-2. Both gatefolds in VERY GOOD CONDITION, with very light corner wear, no splits, rings or marks, light soiling on front cover of Volume One. LPs stored in plain white inner sleeves. One of the four records, sides 3 and 4 of Volume 2, was found outside the sleeve within the gatefold. It had light scuff marks on one side, light smudging, it LOOKS VERY PLAYABLE and I would grade this single LP as in the range of VG+ to VG++. All others were found inside the sleeves and LOOK QUITE PLAYABLE AND CLEAN with a faint scuff or scratch seen over pristine vinyl, I'll grade these VG++ (may be conservative), and give the set an overall grade of VG++.
