It's easily forgotten that Yvonne Baker was a star long before she cut "I Can't Change" with her group The Sensations", and "You Didn't Say A Word" as a solo. This release is actually a very rapid reissue, the track first having appeared on Junior 1010 (despite the long numerical gap, there were only five known releases between the two). I haven't a clue why it was issued twice by the same label.
"I Can't Change" is, of course, a Philly version of Lorraine Chandler's Pied Piper Detroit monster. Both versions are superb, with this take having a similar feel, an excellent sax break, and a great flip side that has long been championed in it's own right.
The vinyl is near mint, and both labels are as-new. The edges are completely chip-free. It's a stunning copy in every respect.
This record has been played on both sides to verify condition.
