Description

Making room in my house this weekend into next week. Look for killer deals!

I’m offering an iconic 78 rpm record in beautiful Ex+ condition. This record speaks for itself. This is a true collector piece, in its extreme rarity and astonishing condition. The rarity of this record is known throughout the record collecting community. I’ve set a low starting bid, if you know the rarity that stating bid is 50% of the true value. Happy bidding on this super rare piece and check back for Joe Hill Louis 78’s to come.

78’s

If you use Popsike etc for reference make sure you read the listings for condition, zoom in on the record for visual condition and view the history. The latest one that sold does not necessarily the bar. There is a night and day difference between VG- and M-!!

I ship worldwide via USPS First Class International and USPS Priority flat rate within the US. I recommend insurance as I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged records. That said I pack all records professionally in 78 and 45 specific boxes with a padding process I upgraded from just traditional cardboard squares alone. I will combine records at no further charge but will not put more than two 78’s or three 45’s per box. I have never had a record damaged in transit and have shipped the most fragile 45’s and 78’s all over the globe. If you require full insurance please contact me for final shipping fee. Thank you for visiting Monroe Rare Records and don’t forget to check out my other listings.

IF FOR ANY REASON YOU ARE UNSATISFIED WITH YOUR PURCHASE, PLEASE CONTACT ME AND I WILL MAKE IT RIGHT. THAT IS MY 100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEE!

MY 78 RPM GRADING SYSTEM:

(Note: I now play each record I sell graded below an E rating once for extremely accurate grading. I recently bought an AT 120x with removable 45 and 78 specific needles/stylus as 78 grooves are cut differently from 45’s)

N-   NEW MINUS - Highest grade used. Appears unplayed. Full luster. Slight signs of handling

E+   EXCELLENT PLUS - Full luster remains. Very few careful plays. Slightest indications of use or handling.

E    EXCELLENT - Again full luster. Mild signs of play,  but no serious wear, scratches or scuffs.

E-  EXCELLENT MINUS - Most if not all luster remains,  but record has some noticeable wear, scuffs and / or a shallow scratch. Still a nice 78, acceptable to most collectors.

V++ Almost identical to above grade of E- but will have a defect that will be described in the listing.

V+  VERY GOOD PLUS - Record has considerable wear, scuff and / or scratches. Still plays pretty well but is clearly a used record. An AVERAGE USED 78 is in the V to V+ range.

V   VERY GOOD - Mostly or fully gray from use. Obvious surface noise but still plays pretty well and all the way through. Scuffing and / or scratches more prominent.

V-  VERY GOOD MINUS - Further deterioration. Fully gray with deeper wear and heavy surface noise.

G - GOOD - I DO NOT SELL “G” RATED RECORDS
