Description

Two 8 track player /recorders. An Akai -CR81D and A JVC -ED1230, both play well, and record, I only had a microphone to check the record but recording does work on both machines. The JVC has automatic record level and the Akai has to be set manually. Both machines are for 230v AC. They have phono plug line outputs to go into an amplifier or stereo system. The line in is also phono plugs, and for microphones 1/4" jacks.

Some of the Jazz selection, About 60 tapes.
Louis Armstrong & Duke Ellington, Jose Feliciano, Ella Fitzgerald, Sergio Mendes, Sarah Vaughan, Chuck Mangione, Oscar Peterson, Roberta Flack, Quincey Jones, Astrud Gilberto, Fats Waller, George Shearing, Santana, Oscar Peterson Trio, Nat King Cole, Count Basie, etc.

Pop and Rock selection. About 75 tapes
Jimi Hendrix , Marvin Gaye, Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder,  Bonnie Tyler, Bryan Ferry, Osibisa, Isaac Hayes, John Mayall, Bread, The Yardbirds, Average White Band, Lovin Spoonful, Jerry Lee Lewis, etc.     I have tried quite a few of them and they all  play OK, but I dont guarantee they are all OK in case a few dont work. None have broken tapes though.

There are about 30 more tapes, blank, miscellaneous, or faulty, some have broken tapes. If you have a tape splicer they can be repaired. They break where the metal foil strips are inserted, the strips operate the track switching systems.
Both machines were in use till a few weeks ago, and sound fine, but as this kit is very old technology I cant offer a guarantee on it. As this lot is quite heavy, and in several big boxes, delivery by carrier will be £15.00 to mainland UK, or it can all be collected from London NW5.

I managed to add photos of some of the tapes, but the supersize option would not work, even though they were big files.
