George W. Johnson sings and whistles doing "Whistling Girl" on 9"

Zonophone C-5852.


I am guessing that this announced, 78rpm single-sided disc was

recorded in the summer of 1903.


I believe that Johnson was the first African-American to record.


The record is in E- to V+ condition. There is a rather long scratch

which ticks but passes.
