The triangle symbol (△) in the deadwax signifies a delta number, which was a proprietary internal tracking and plating number used by Los Angeles-based processing plant, Alco Research & Engineering, and later adopted by Monarch Record Mfg. Co.
MR: The letters MR, identify the Monarch plant. Among audiophiles and serious collectors, the Monarch Record Mfg. Co. plant is widely considered the best and most desirable pressing plant for the US first pressing of Back in Black.
