Embossed cover with grey print on the front, rear covers and spine.
The "RL" refers to legendary mastering engineer Robert Ludwig. These specific 1980 US pressings are known for their "hot" cuts and incredible dynamic range.
"SP" found at the end of the etched matrix number in the runout and the label matrix. "E A S T" embossed around the center hole denote a Specialty Records Corporation pressing. Pressing Plant ID (Runouts and labels): SP
- Pressing Plant ID (Embossed Around Label Center Hole): E A S T
I have provided a bunch of quality pictures, so please look at them carefully.
The cover has some light storage wear and some overall general wear. there are 3 small "wrinkle" creases on the left border, a couple of very small ones on the top border, and 1 very small one on the bottom border. there are no splits in the seams. overall, it still has very nice eye appeal.
The record is VG to VG+ or better. there are very light surface scratches that most likely were caused from the record being slid in and out of the paper inner sleeve along with a few other light scratches. there is some wear or something on the starting runoff part of the record on both sides before the first song on each side. there is some "static" and some "snaps and pops" at the start of the song "hells bells" along with one super fast "quick skip" i looked at the record carefully and I could not find what causes this very quick skip. you'll hear some background noise in-between the songs but it wont last long....there is only a second or two between the tracks. you'll hear some "snaps and pops" in the more quiet parts of some songs, which aren't many....this album just rocks, period. it almost melts the needle it's so powerful.... overall, it sounds friggin' awesome!
The inner sleeve is in decent shape with some minor wear to 2 of the corners, no splits
The record will be shipped outside of the jacket in a generic sleeve.
buyer to pay $7.95 for secured shipping with tracking in a cardboard record mailer via usps ground advantage.
I'm sorry the shipping cost is so high. the postal rates have skyrocketed unfortunately.
