Description
ART BLAKEY & JAZZ MESSENGERS - BLUE NOTE 4003 - W. 63RD, DG, RVG, EAR
ART BLAKEY AND THE JAZZ MESSENGERS featuring LEE MORGAN; BENNY GOLSON AND OTHERS – ORIGINAL, SELF-TITLED 1958 BLUE NOTE ALBUM (ALSO KNOWN AS “MOANIN’”) – ORIGINAL 1958 BLUE NOTE MONO LP BLP-4003
·ORIGINAL U.S. PRESSING ... WHITE AND BLUE 'BLUE NOTE' LABEL WITH 47 WEST 63RD STREET, NYC, ADDRESS ON THE LABEL...
The record has an "EAR" symbol (a pretzel-like engravure about 1/4-inch/6mm long) in the trail-off vinyl, which on SOME jazz labels is associated with very early or first pressings)
The record has a Rudy "Van Gelder" name or his initials (RVG) stamped/etched in the trail-off vinyl (dead wax)
DEEP GROOVE PRESSING ON BOTH SIDES!... Stamper numbers are BN-LP 4003 A-1 and BN-LP 4003- B...
The record has been played and it does have some scuffs (but nothing deep)... Both sides might play thru with some minor surface noise but no skips... We'd grade the overall condition of the record as VG with nice labels...
