Description
Up for auction is a nice original copy of the album "The Art Farmer Septet Plays The Arrangements And Compositions of Gigi Gryce And Quincy Jones," released on Prestige Records (PRLP 7031) in 1956.

Condition:
Cover is still in nice condition, with some signs of wear. Lamination is still good but has some rubbing spots. Seams are strong, no splits, but they do show some wear and chipping. Corners are generally sharp but are rubbed a little. Back is nice, bone white, some rubbing here and there. Paste down has some small tears and chips along right edge. Still, overall, as you can see from the photos, it still looks attractive. Grade the cover Very Good Plus (VG+).
The vinyl still retains some of its original shine, but has several light surface scratches and needle drops on both sides, but nothing that causes skips, plays through nicely. Some marks around the spindle holes, showing it's been played. Label has "Jazz" stamped on it. I've play tested this record and it sounds very good with some light background noise here and there, but it doesn't overwhelm the music--it sounds better in Mono mode, which is how it was meant to be played. Not audiophile clean, but still enjoyable to listen to. Grade the vinyl Very Good (VG).
