ART PEPPER QUINTET - Smack Up CONTEMPORARY S7602 STEREO LP 

1970's stereo copy of Art Pepper Quintet "Smack Up" LP (Contemporary Records S7602 )

Matrix on the deadwax stamped on  Side 1 - LKS 167 D2 H  and on Side 2 - LKS 168 D2 H
As with all Contemporary records from this era, sound much better in Stereo as the mono masters were compressed and equalized. Steve Hoffman says: "I've listened to the mono master recordings of these albums and they sound a bit pinched compared to their binaural counterparts. The mono tapes had a bit of compression and EQ done to them during recording (like any major studio would)..."

Condition:  EX+/VG+ (Vinyl still retains high gloss light scuffing; no splits for sleeve but  has some rubbing wear on the front and some stains  and yellowing on the back cover;  labels is NM with no writing or marks.)

SLEEVE/COVER Condition: SS = STILL SEALED MINT =  Opened but with little or no imperfections NM = No markings, tears except for slight rounding of corners  NM- = With some wear and/or negligeable or insignificant markings  VG++ = Some wear, markings, folds or bends present VG-- = With more and noticeable wear, tear, split on seams
