ARTHUR PRYOR'S BAND original 1906 recording of "DIXIE". This is a One Sided Shellac 78 .It is the first VICTOR recording, which was re-issued later with several other serial numbers..I have graded this G+ as the background surface noise almost equals the level of the music. I recorded this sample on a Califone library recorder model 1010. Might sound better on a more sophisticated 78 player, But this is the only 78 player I have... SO....LISTEN TO THE SAMPLES I RECORDED TO HELP YOU KNOW WHAT THIS RECORD SOUNDS LIKE. AND YOU CAN DECIDE FOR YOURSELF WHAT THE GRADE IS... Have been an ebay member since 1998. Used to be a great place to sell on line. No longer a place where a seller can feel he or she will get fair treatment. If you are a seller you make it possible for Ebay to exist.
