Description

Up for auction is an original mono pressing of the Andrew Hill 'Compulsion!!!' LP on Blue Note Records BLP-4217. The other musicians include Freddie Hubbard, John Gilmore, Cecil McBee, Richard Davis, Joe Chambers, Nadi Qamar, and Renaud Simmons.

Record info:

Strong VG+, close to Excellent with minor surface noise. The vinyl has a very slight warp that does not affect play in any way. It plays and sounds great!

Cover info:

VG with mostly solid seams except for a 2" top seam split at middle and a smaller one at bottom middle. The cover has moderate dishing from previous improper storage which probably could be flattened out fairly easily. The front cover has some artwork wear in middle area (see photo). The back cover has an 'Audition Copy' promo stamp. It comes with the original Blue Note Records inner sleeve.

Label / Pressing info:

Original NY label mono press with Van Gelder stamp in the dead wax on both sides.

Buy with confidence. I grade conservatively. I’ve been selling vinyl since 1976. All records are cleaned with a VPI professional record cleaner and are shipped with records outside the covers to avoid seam damage.

Shipping for US customers is $4 for media mail or $10 for Priority mail. For high value items I would recommend adding insurance.

International shipping will be $18. I reserve the right to request registered or courier mail for high value items and to some countries (Italy, Brazil, Russia) due to the unreliability of their postal services.
