Description

This is Blue Note Records BLP 1521, Art Blakey Quintet A Night At Birdland Volume 1, a deep groove, blue and white microgroove, 47 West 63rd NYC (side 1), New York 23 (side 2) label mono issue of this classic record with RVG etched and the ear (p) mark stamped in the dead wax. The record is in VG++ condition showing a few pressing discolorations and playing quietly throughout. I am tempted to say it is near mint because there are no external marks. The laminated cover is excellent and intact. The labels are excellent with light spindle marks. The record was played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode and cleaned on a VPI 17. This is an excellent collector's grade copy of this beautiful early mono Blue Note recording. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping for multiple wins. Thanks for looking.
