Description
Originally recorded in 1957 and released as “Jack Sheldon and his All Star Band”, this Jazz LP was re-released in the 1960s by GNP Crescendo Records with a new cover and a new title based on Jack Sheldon’s then-popular TV show “Run, Buddy, “Run!” Renowned trumpet player Sheldon is joined by other top jazz artists including Buddy Clark, Art Pepper, Chet Baker, Billy Root, Conte Candoli, Harold Land, and Herb Geller. The record is in near mint (NM) condition and the cover is very good plus (VG+), with two small punch holes in the front cover’s top left and bottom right, made when it was put in a record store’s discount section many years ago. There is a small 1/4” seam split at bottom right, some residual gum from a price tag, and some paper wear on the edges. See photos for condition details. The front cover is autographed “Jack Sheldon” to the right of the photo and song title list. What a great hard-to-find album!
