I'm an audio enthusiast trying to downsize my collection a little.
This is the Mobile Fidelity pressing of Average White Band's classic AWB album. It's a really good mastering and I wholeheartedly recommend it if you like this classic album.
It was a limited edition on 200g vinyl. Mine, which I imported new and sealed from the US many years ago, is number 342.
I've only played this copy a couple of times on my Michell Orbe turntable with SME V tonearm and Audio-Technica AT33 PTG/II so it's in virtually as-new condition with no spindle marks on the labels. However it arrived with the following imperfections:
1. The bottom left-hand corner of the sleeve is bumped. See picture.
2. There's a strange mark in the deadwax on Side 2 which won't come off. See picture. Maybe a smear of glue from the label? I don't know.
3. At the end of Side 2 there's a repeating tick that sets in just as the music fades. Here is a recording so you can hear exactly how it sounds. You will hear the end of the last track, then you will hear the repeating tick, then you will a moment's silence as the needle enters the run-off groove and finally you will hear the normal ticking noise as the needle enters the locked groove in the centre. Two more points:
1. The faded spots on the "AWB" lettering on the front of the sleeve are not a defect - they are part of the original design.
2. The original rice paper inner sleeve is slightly split on one edge so I will enclose a replacement rice paper inner sleeve.
To avoid any possibility of damage in transit, the LP will be packed in a strong cardboard box with the LP taken out of its original inner and outer sleeves and packed separately in a spare inner sleeve.
