The Beatles 1966 UK 1st STEREO FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO pressing of the 'A Collection Of Beatles Oldies (But Goldies !)' LP. Released on the 10th December 1966, and offered here fully complete with very earliest 1 G stamper (not matrix).
These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.
Released on the yellow and black Parlophone label both sides feature the 'Sold in UK....' text and have 'The gramophone Co. Ltd....' rim print. The 'KT' tax code is embossed on the side one label. It comes complete with the original laminated sleeve and made in England inner sleeve. This Ernest J. Day cover has an unusual printing error. The stereo wording is printed lower down within the main cover image and NOT within the white area above as it should be.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: YEX 619-1G 1 G
Side 2: YEX 620-1G 3 G P
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD condition.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT+ condition. The factory sample sticker has be picked at on one side.
The sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition.
The inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition. I will also include an additional inner sleeve to protect the original.
This LP will be very carefully packaged for transit. UK recorded postage is: £4.55. EU recorded postage is: £12.95. Rest of the world recorded postage is: £18.95. Combined, reduced postage is available.
