Please read complete description and view photos carefully prior to bidding.
Condition:
Front of Jacket:
Better Condition Scranton 2nd State Still In Factory Shrink. These are becoming harder to find as more are being peeled. Factory Shrink has protected the front cover well and front is fairly white in color still. Shrink wrap displays the proper factory breathe holes (see close up photos). Trunk Cover was slightly misaligned at the factory which is demonstrated by the Butcher Cover being slightly visible on the bottom left hand side (see close up photo of that section).
Please see photos to verify the specific conditions described and feel free to contact with questions.
Seams:
Top seam is complete. Bottom seam is also mostly complete with some slight cracking rubbing towards the last few inches of the bottom seam near the mouth. (See close up photos of seams). To protect the integrity of the seams and avoid future damage, a record should never be placed or stored in this jacket. This album jacket is nearly 60 years old and should be protected accordingly.
Spine:
Spine is complete with all writing legible. Some aging towards the end of the spine and small beginning of a check crack in very middle of the spine. (See Spine photos).
Back Of Jacket:
The back of the jacket is mostly clean with some aging in the exposed area in the lower left hand corner where there was a shrink break and some light tanning on bottom right hand corner. Also there is a small piece of missing shrink near the title "What Goes On" on the back of the jacket. (See photo of back)
Record/Inner Sleeve
Comes complete with Mono East Coast mono pressing in VG++ visual condition (mostly clean with a few light scratches). Correct East Coast Goldenrod CAPITOL INNER SLEEVE included in nice shape with no splits but some edge wear at top of sleeve. Record will come stored in a nice poly lined inner mo fi sleeve .
Terms Of Auction/Shipping:
Due to recent inflation and subsequent increases in actual USPS shipping costs, Buyer pays $34.99 for properly packed double boxed priority shipping with tracking. Shipping of such a high value, large double boxed package with significant weigh is costly and labor intensive and will likely be more that what is being charged here. Bidders with low feedback or new accounts must contact us prior to bidding on this item. Seller reserves the right to cancel bids at any time. Due to the exceptional cost and labor involved in shipping this item, this is being sold "AS IS" and there are No Returns on this purchase. Please review all photos and descriptions and please contact with questions prior to bidding. This item has been through a laborious process from the 2nd state to what you see here, and as such, the grading is unique on this item. This cannot be graded like a comic book or a baseball card due to the fact that this jacket has twice been altered from its original state, once by the paste over process at the Capitol Factory and likewise by the peeling process. Any minor imperfections are from either process. The photos speak for themselves and we do our best to accurately grade these historic artifacts.
Thank You !
