This Butcher Cover is a first time offering. This offering is a high quality 3rd state (peeled) Butcher Cover. The overall condition of the jacket and peel places this offering in the top 2% of all peeled jackets. This is far superior in overall condition than what you usually see out there. As even novice record collectors know, condition is everything and most Butcher Covers have condition issues mainly due to their age and storage life, etc. This jacket was obviously taken care of and used lightly since its departure from the Capitol factory in 1966. The jacket has been painstakingly peeled to not only preserve the Butcher Cover underneath but also to include the removed the trunk slick. Check completed auctions as these better condition examples are only steadily rising as these rarely come up for sale in this condition. Condition: 
Front of Jacket:

Front cover is gorgeous with nice colors and fine detail. Top quality peel and something you'd be proud to display. Capitol factory glue application lines are light on this one.

Seams: 
Top seam is complete with no splits. Bottom seam is also complete with no splits. Please see photos to verify.
Spine: 
Spine is also complete with all writing legible with just a few wrinkles or possibly a few common beginning check type cracks near to words "Yesterday" and "Today". (Please see close up photos to verify this area). No big deal and a nice spine overall. 
Back Of Jacket:  
The back of the jacket is very clean with only the lightest of wear/aging/foxing. (Please see photo of back). 
Trunk Slick: 
Removed Trunk Slick is included with some wear, tear and repair due to the careful peeling process.
Record/Inner Sleeve: 
Mono record plays decently with some background noise especially in the quieter parts. No skips though. Looks worse than it plays, Included is East Coast Olive Capitol Inner sleeve (yes, some 2nd states were actually also issued with these leftover inner sleeves instead of the regular orange inner sleeves) in decent shape with a few inches of splitting on bottom and on one side which is fairly typical on these inner sleeves.

Due to the recent inflation and subsequent increases in actual USPS shipping costs, Buyer pays $34.99 for properly packed double boxed priority shipping with tracking. Shipping of such a high value, large package with significant weigh is costly and labor intensive and will likely be more that what is being charged here. This item has been through a laborious process from the 2nd state to what you see here, and as such, the grading is unique on this item.This cannot be graded like a comic book or a baseball card due to the fact that this jacket has twice been altered from its original state, once by the paste over process at the Capitol Factory and likewise by the peeling process. Any minor imperfections are from either process. The photos speak for themselves and we do our best to accurately grade these historic artifacts.
