This Butcher Cover is a first time offering. This unusual offering is a "window shade" 3rd state (peeled) Butcher Cover. It's called a window shade peel because the original trunk cover is still attached at the top as it was from the Capitol factory in 1966. The jacket has been painstakingly peeled by the Butcher Cover shop to show the trunk slick still attached in one piece so that folks can have the best of both worlds of the Trunk Cover AND the Butcher Cover. The trunk slick has shrunk a little more than a half an inch from the peeling process. It should be noted that no matter what plant a Butcher Cover was manufactured at, peeling ANY 2nd state jacket this in this manner can be extremely tedious depending on a number of factors. Condition: 
Front of Jacket:

Front cover is gorgeous with nice colors and fine detail. Top quality peel and something you'd be proud to display. Capitol factory glue application lines are light on this one.

Seams: 
Top seam is complete with no splits. Bottom seam is also complete with no splits. Please see photos to verify.
Spine: 
Spine is also complete with all writing legible with only minor foxing and one tiny slight checking crack.(Please see photos to verify these areas).
Back Of Jacket:  
The back of the jacket is very clean with only the lightest of wear/aging/foxing. There is a light crease of several inches on the bottom left hand side that doesn't adversely affect the look of the front cover. (Please see photo of back). 
Trunk Slick: 
Removed Trunk Slick is included, still attached with wrinkling from the peeling process. Also, due to the peeling process, the trunk slick has shrunk a little more than a half inch from the bottom.
Record/Inner Sleeve: 
Mono record VG/VG-.Looks worse than it plays, Actually plays nicely with only occasional minimal background noise here and there. Writing on both sides of the label and a noticeable scuff on the second side that doesn't effect the play much. Included is East Coast Olive Capitol Inner sleeve (yes, some 2nd states were actually also issued with these leftover inner sleeves instead of the regular orange inner sleeves) in decent shape with a few inches of splitting on bottom and a little less on one side which is fairly typical on these inner sleeves.

Due to the recent inflation and subsequent increases in actual USPS shipping costs, Buyer pays $34.99 for properly packed double boxed priority shipping with tracking. Shipping of such a high value, large package with significant weigh is costly and labor intensive and will likely be more that what is being charged here. This item has been through a laborious process from the 2nd state to what you see here, and as such, the grading is unique on this item.This cannot be graded like a comic book or a baseball card due to the fact that this jacket has twice been altered from its original state, once by the paste over process at the Capitol Factory and likewise by the peeling process. Any minor imperfections are from either process. The photos speak for themselves and we do our best to accurately grade these historic artifacts.
