Condition:
Front of Jacket:
Decent overall peel with a few touch ups. Probably not for the picky buyer but definitely better than other offerings on the web in this price range. Due to some partial moisture exposure to the bottom of the jacket (mostly confined to the back of the jacket) there is a touched up abrasion spot in the bottom right hand corner on Ringo's black pant leg. (Please see close up photo of that side). A few minor mouth edge abrasions as well but nothing too horrific. Capitol glue lines from the trunk adhesive process are light and don't interfere or overpower the overall look of this peel.
Please see photos to verify the specific conditions described and feel free to contact with questions.
Seams:
Top seam is complete. Bottom seam is mostly complete with a small section of balding/separation on the ends of that seam. To protect the integrity of the seams and avoid future damage, a record should never be placed or stored in this jacket. This album jacket is nearly 60 years old and should be protected accordingly.
Spine:
Spine also mostly complete with most printing legible with some cracking 3/4 of the way down near the bottom of the spine . (See Spine photos).
Back Of Jacket:
The back of the jacket has moisture stains at bottom. Other than that, average wear. (See photo of back)
Trunk Slick:
Sorry but there is NO TRUNK SLICK with this auction.
Record/Inner Sleeve:
Comes complete with Mono East Coast mono pressing in VG- visual condition (light scuffs and scratches). Plays through more like VG without skips or major issues. Correct East Coast Goldenrod CAPITOL INNER SLEEVE with this record that is decent but displays a typical side and bottom splits of a few inches. Record will come stored in a mofi inner sleeve .
Terms Of Auction/Shipping:
Due to recent inflation and subsequent increases in actual USPS shipping costs, Buyer pays $39.99 for properly packed double boxed priority shipping with tracking. Shipping of such a high value, large package with significant weigh is costly and labor intensive and will likely be more that what is being charged here. Regardless, the cost to you will be capped at $16.99. Bidders with low feedback or new accounts must contact us prior to bidding on this item. Seller reserves the right to cancel bids at any time. Due to the exceptional cost and labor involved in shipping this item, this is being sold "AS IS" and there are No Returns on this purchase. Please review all photos and descriptions and please contact with questions prior to bidding. This item has been through a laborious process from the 2nd state to what you see here, and as such, the grading is unique on this item. This cannot be graded like a comic book or a baseball card due to the fact that this jacket has twice been altered from its original state, once by the paste over process at the Capitol Factory and likewise by the peeling process. Any minor imperfections are from either process. The photos speak for themselves and we do our best to accurately grade these historic artifacts.
Thank You !
