Description

This auction is for an original Beatles "Yesterday"... And Today  mono LP - second state Butcher Cover - Capitol label T2553.  In the close-up picture of the right side of the cover, I tried to show the "V" of Ringo's lab coat showing through the pasted over "Trunk Cover." ... You may not see it in the picture, but it is visible in person.  The cover shows ring wear & has scuff marks.  There is a light stain in the lower left part of the cover as you can see in the pictures.  I'm told that it could bleed through to the "Butcher Cover," ... so keep that in mind if you plan to peel it.  The spine is split.  The record itself, has scuffs & scratches, but does not appear to be deep.  I have not played the record.  There is no writing or marks on the cover or label of the record.  It comes with an original orange "Capitol '66; Sounds Great!" inter sleeve that is in very good shape.  On the back cover the number 6 appears on the left side of the RIAA logo.  I have always thought that as more & more people peel the "Trunk Cover" off of these, means fewer & fewer second state covers will be around.  While certainly not in mint condition, this cover and record will make a nice addition to any Beatles collection...  & no Beatles collection is complete without a Butcher Cover Paste-Over.  Please ask any questions you may have.  No bids outside of the United States, please.
