FACTORY, "SAMPLE COPY NOT FOR SALE" STICKER ON SIDE 1,s APPLE LABEL HAVING THE RARE RED PRINTED FACTORY EMBOSSED"SAMPLE COPY NOT FOR SALE" STICKER ALSO MAKES IT THAT LITTLE BIT MORE SPECIAL, AS NOT MANY OF THESE RECORDS, WOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN OUT TO BE SAMPLED & TESTED BY REVIEWERS,MUSIC PAPERS, RADIO STATIONS , TELEVISION ETC, THE ORIGINAL STICKER IS PRINTED ON FINE 1960'S PAPER WITH NATURAL AGEING ON IT THAT CAN NOT BE FAKED, AND IS STILL IN FANTASTIC CRISP CONDITION, AS IS MOST OF THIS SET, A REAL IDEAL TOP COPY IN FANTASTIC CONDITION, IT SITS FULLY SQUARE AND STANDS PERFECTLY UPRIGHT, SOLID AND HAS NO FRONT LAMINATE KINKS OR CREASES AT ALL ON EITHER SIDE OF IT'S SLIDING OUTER BOX COVER,[ ALTHOUGH THERE IS OBVIOUSLY SOME LIGHT USAGE, AND STORAGE WEAR EVIDENT ON THE UNDERNEATH WHERE IT SITS, FLAT DOWN] IT HAS NEVER BEEN CRUSHED SQUASHED OR HAD ANY SIGNIFICANT WEIGHT PLACED ON TOP OF IT ALL CARD IS STILL VERY STRONG AND STIFF, [THETOP OF THE BOXES SLIDING LAMINATED FRONT FACING SIDE, WITH THE 4 BEATLES FACES ON, HAS NO INDENTATIONS,OF SCRIBBLING, WRITING PRESSINGS,EITHER!!! ETC.] THESE BOXSETS WERE NEVER INTENDED TO LOOK THIS GOOD AFTER 35 YEARS AND MOST OF WHAT YOU FIND ON EBAY I'D SAY A GOOD 90% .CERTAINLY DO NOT, THEY WERE MADE AS A FLIMSY DESIGN ORIGINALLY AND A LOT OF THE PACKAGING WAS THROWN OUT AFTER A FEW YEARS , BECAUSE PEOPLE GOT FED UP WITH THE AWKWARD SLIDE DESIGN OF THE LAMINATED BOX. IF THEY WERE EVER KEPT AT ALL & USED REGULARY, THE LAMINATE AND CARD GOT BADLY KINKED OR CREASED ,OR THE RECORD AND BOOK WERE LEFT OUT OF THE BOX ALLTOGETHER AND AFTER 30+ YEARS IN STORAGE THE BOX AND SIDES& CORNERS ENDED UP BEING CRUSHED FLAT BY OTHER RECORDS OR HOUSE HOLDJUNK IN ATTICS SOMEWHERE. YEX 773 -2U [RD,1] SIDE2.YEX 774 -2U [OD,3] [ -2U -2U DENOTES 1ST PRESSING FOR THIS LP AS , THE -1 -1 STAMPERS WERE NOT USED FOR LET IT BE.] RECORD SLEEVE/COVER[ red apple logo] RARE 1ST ISSUE U.K., FULLY LAMINATED RECORD SLEEVE WITH THE RED APPLE LOGO PRINTED ON ITS, REAR SLEEVE. ]These were only available for a short time and are unique to the boxed set format.] THISONE IS IN EXELLENT CONDITION THE INNER SLEEVE, is the original late 1960's, apple issue black paper type, and this is in MINT- condition. THE VINYL OF THIS APPLE RECORD IS IN EXELLENT+ CONDITION. GLEAMING AS THE DAY IT WAS PRESSED.The end maitrix numbers on the LP in this Box Set are ' - 2U / - 2U [FIRST PRESS]' ,The records dark green apple labels are in pristine condition, The spindle areas have only the faintest traces of ever being played. The record visually speaking still has a deep glossy sheen, only a few paper scuffs and a couple of light marks that are hardly noticeable, the type from taking in and out of the sleeve and from only the minimal of plays . This 33 years old record looks to be in fantastic strong ex+ condition, A really nice looking record,[that also lies flat with no dishing or warping] The Box's Details: The corners are remarkable, no creases. There's only the very slightest laminate wear on the other edges, The back has "Designed by John Cosh. Photographs by Ethan A Russell - - Printed & made in Great Britain by Garrod & Lofthouse Limited. Patents Pending" is on the bottom edge in white print. This original package was originally issued without a catalogue number PXS1 printed on the outside or on the inside of the box . The back is in a similar condition to the front, except one very light crinkle on the opening edge, no crinkles, all 4 corners are in brilliant condition. The edges and everything else are as described for the front.Moving inside, the main tray is in exceptionally strong condition and I would say it’s near mint if not better. The shape is still a perfect square, essential to hold and keep the book's tray in position. The base is the main area , the outside is still the original black colour, it's completely unscuffed or worn, as is the plain cardboard on the inside section. OUTER FULLY LAMINATED, SLIP OFF COVER IN AT LEAST NM / M- CONDITION.[ PATS, PENDING PRINT]The outer cover is still square shaped and in no way squashed out of shape,This is because the book and the record were never left out of it when stored. The colours of the four Beatles pictures are the deep tones of 1970, unfaded and richly coloured. The laminate is ultra glossy so is the main black colour of the front's background .Onto the back, [ Or underside,laminate.] looks superb. There's is normal light use and storage wear obviously as you'd expect[ from being placed underside down on the laminated underside of the box, but nothing serious. So i'll grade this as stronglly EX + THE LAMINATED FRONT COVER OF THE BOX [ WITH THE 4 FACES,] INCLUDING ITS SIDE EDGES & CORNERS HAS NO RECORD RINGWEAR OR SUCH LIKE, AND IS SHOWING ONLY A MINISCULE, MINIMAL AMOUNT OF WEAR & TEAR. [THETOP OF THE BOXES SLIDING LAMINATED FRONT FACING SIDE, WITH THE 4 BEATLES FACES ON, HAS NO NASTY DEEP INDENTATIONS,OF SCRIBBLING, WRITING PRESSINGS,EITHER ON IT !!! ETC.] and must grade as a brilliant MINT- The overlapped stuck down edges are very securely factory glued, without any lifting. 1ST CARD TRAY [WITH THE FLAPS] On the bottom right hand side of the first flap there is a very small mark line this is where I held to remove the inner package,though this is not detrimental in anyway , these boxes are very tight and can be a struggle to get the inner tray part out to get to the record and sleeve. [always be extra careful, to save kinking the outer laminated sliding cover] Other than that, The top's flaps are perfectly strong, the opening flap sides have little or no wear, the edges are straight and solid. rated ATa strong EXELLENT ++ CONDITION. . THE 2ND VERY FLIMSY[ very light card] INNER TRAY [ OR CARCASS] FOR HOLDING THE "GET BACK" BOOK, HAS 2 SMALL CREASES TO ONE SIDE ADJOINING THE BOOK,AND 1 OR 2 LIGHT CRINCKLES OTHER THAN THIS THE IMPORTANT THING IS IT'S UNTORN AND HOLDS THE GET BACK BOOK TIGHT AND PERFECTLY SQUARELY, IT’S EXELLENT+ /NEAR MINT- This tray for the book is the rarest part of the whole package to be found in ex condition, and this one is, and apart from a couple of very light creases there are no splits or tears ,so this must rate at a premium, especially as this was originally such a flimsy card design, that just normally falls to bits . The joints are in superb condition, the edges are very sturdy as well, and again in exceptional condition, and again, no wear to the outside corners. The perforted main folds are unsplit round the entire parimeters. this inner tray is amazing to be so self supporting. The book is still a perfectly tight fit, so the greatest care is needed removing it. THE BOOK HAS NO LOOSE PAGES, AND IS IN MINT-CONDITION. [ probably un-opened before]THIS WAS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR A SHORT TIME & IS ALSO EXCLUSIVE TO THIS BOX SET ONLY The book is normally renowned for the pages falling out, but not this one. All the pages are securely stuck in place, with the whole inside in exellent condition, [with no tears or writing]. THE BOOK'S LAMINATED COVER IS IN MINTCONDITION.[Like New.] 'The Beatles original lp's were always issued in quality laminated covers, "Let It Be" was no exception, with both the front and back cover of the "get back"book given a heavy laminated finish.
