Description
THE BEATLES
LOVE ME DO
1962 Parlophone R 4949. Mega rare UK black label 2nd pressing with "The Parlophone Co. Ltd" in upper and lower case, matrix suffixed with "1N" denoting 'Ringo' on drums and no Tamborine version
The sleeve is the original type C multicoloured shapes on the front and LP details on reverse. Apart from a small repaired tear on the reverse and the odd brown spot is in excellent condition for it's age
The vinyl is in very good condition showing a couple of just noticable fine hairlines and many very very fine paper cuts that are more noticable in bright light, but nothing serious on either side, these do not affect play as I have listened to both sides with earphones on and there is virtually no surface noise, this fact upgraded to VG
The labels are clean with no damage or writing.
A near mint copy would probably fetch double the book price of £150 as a 3rd pressing in near mint, with a book price of £100 fetched £180 recently. so for those on a low budget nows your chance to own a very rare piece of original Beatles history
Good look
